So far, I am very impressed. I have had quite a few laptop bags and backpacks and finally, someone designed one to my specifications! It is not too heavy, it is constructed very well and it is attractive. I was absolutely thrilled that the main compartment had the zipper only at top keeping contents from dribbling out the sides. The opening is adequately large to easily access your belongings. Other cases I have owned had zippers all around the perimeter. It has caused items to dribble out and in one case, the zipper busted and my laptop was damaged. In contrast The Vankean backpack keeps your items secure.

The backpack also has sturdy handles at the top which make it so much easier to grab. Having a little experience lugging around a laptop, it is a hidden game changer. I also like the ease of securing the laptop vertically. I put a cushy sleeve on my 15.6 and it fit perfectly fine in the sleeve. There are just two pockets for a laptop and tablet plus a zippered compartment inside. There is also a small pocket for putting charger battery. For the inside, that’s it. Limiting the compartments make it more useable. If you want to keep things neat, use packing cubes for chargers or personal items.

Other than that, I loaded my laptop, Ipad and stuffed a few more things in it and was quite happy that it was easy to use, easy to throw on my back and easy to access items. I could even fit my large cup in the side compartment.

Finally, I chose the rose color which is really attractive. I’ve always had dark laptop cases, so it is a really nice change.

All in all, I highly recommend it. It is great for day to day use, student use and perfect for carryon.

Update 10/4: I took it on a trip with me and it was perfect carryon for my laptop. I did kinda overstuff it a bit coming back. But I had two laptop sleeves which added a little bulk. For me, a med size tote bag that zipped up would have been a good companion to it. But back to the backback, I was very pleased at the protection it provided.

Perfect size with lots of compartments. Looks great and held up beautifully during my cruise excursions. Held everything I needed and then some! Highly recommend this backpack!

 I never do reviews, but I had to with this. I’ve searched for months for a new bag to carry my bibles/planners/etc in. I am never able to find anything with enough room. This one is perfect and I’m so excited about it. I was able to fit a coloring book, a word search, 2 full size planners, an XL bible, a M bible, and a bag of colored pencils just in the big section with some wiggle room left. The next pocket up I put a single journal, but there’s more room! There’s pouches in the next pocket for whatever you wish, I chose my pens/highlighters/pencils. In that same pocket you can put cards in the 3 slots. There’s still room left over so I utilized the space with sticky note pads! Then the very front pocket is deep so you can put keys, phone, snacks, or even conceal carry! There is also 2 side pockets as well! The color is quite adorable, I’m so happy with it. With all of those items in this bag, it still doesn’t feel heavy at all. It feels very durable, but we will see over time. I’ve definitely not been able to find something to fit my wants as much as this bag. I 100% recommend!!!

This bag/backpack is great for travel. It has a section for your laptop and plenty of room for multiple items. I love the extra pockets for additional small things love this bag.

Great bag with lots of storage. Pockets are well-organized. LOTS of room in the main storage compartment, and the wide opening and frame make it easy to pack and to see/find contents. Fits under the seat of Southwest planes with room to spare. Looks sleek even when fully-packed, and the fabric travelled well with no nicks or snags. Other reviews suggested that the zippers are flimsy, but they’re substantial and work well. The straps are fine for short trips, airport carry, etc; but may not be comfortable if carried for hours as a daypack, as the padding isn’t great and there’s no cinch. Also lacks a security pocket in back. Dropped a star for those two reasons, but I’m happy with the purchase.

Edit: I took this backpack on a week trip to theme parks (after three weeks in Europe) and it is still in near perfect condition! This bag is AMAZING!!!

I’m currently on a three week family trip in Europe. I am SO thankful I chose this bag for the trip. I’ve used it as my travel bag (on airplanes and trains, to the beach), and also as my everyday purse. LOVE the framed opening. The zipper pocket inside keeps my wallet secure and it’s a large pocket so I can hold a lot of important stuff. So many pockets to store stuff! I’m carrying a 24oz hydro flask and it fits perfectly into the outside pocket. The medium zippered pocket has an rfid pouch but honestly, I don’t keep anything of value on the outside pockets.

The only sign of wear I’ve seen is a tiny bit of thread fraying on the outside tab of the zipper(where it doesn’t compromise anything).

This pack is very stylish, fits a ton and is comfortable. The extra snap on the top handles make it feel like it’s got an extra layer of security AND I’ve been using it to hold lots of souvenirs. I’d absolutely buy this bag again.
